Obituary 

 Mrs. LaTonya Ann Crider

Early Saturday morning, April 6, 2024, God dispatched an angel to bring his beloved daughter, LaTonya Ann Crider, to eternal rest. Upon hearing the call, even though she knew what she was leaving behind, “Tonya” as she was lovingly called departed this life at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and answered the call of God.

Tonya was born on April 15, 1985, in Rocky Mount, Virginia to the late Deacon Lorenzo and Deaconess Rebecca Terry.  She was educated in the Franklin County School System and a graduate of Franklin County High School.  Tonya married the love of her life, Jerry Crider, on April 4, 2015.  They shared fifteen years together and just celebrated nine years of marriage.  To this union, two beautiful diamonds were added to her crown, Tamaya and Olivia.   She wore the crown of mother with grace and joy.  Tonya loved her girls.

Tonya was a member of Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher’s ministry.  She was an inspiration to the church because she did not allow her health issues to handicap her, she showed us how to still praise God and work for him despite the issue.   She loved to cook, laugh, shop, her church and her family. Tonya loved doing her makeup, hair and sharing this time with her daughters and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, John and Hattie Crider, Sr. and one uncle, Jerry Casey.

Tonya leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Jerry Lee Crider; two beautiful daughters, Tamaya and Olivia; her brother, Michael Casey (Kendra); her aunt, Joyce Baker (Brian); two uncles, Benny Casey and Mark Casey (Martha); her caretakers; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
