Priscilla Page Hughes

Priscilla Page Hughes, 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 27, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1950, in Pittsylvania County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hairston and Desdmonia “Peggy” Page Robertson.

She was married to the late Joe Phillips Hughes.

She was a faithful member of North New Hope Baptist Church where she was a member of the Combined Choir until her decline in health. She was previously employed at Bassett Furniture until the plant shut down. She provided private care to others. Priscilla had an undying love for her dog Dallas.

Priscilla leaves to cherish and is survived by two loving daughters; Teresa J. Saunders (Timothy) and Airlia M. Woodham, both of Danville, VA. Two grandsons, Ryan Gunn (Akera), of Charlotte, NC and Toy Saunders of Danville, VA. She had five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two sisters, Vanessa Hairston of Pittsburg, PA, and Debra Leftwich (Tommy) of Danville, VA. One son Kimble Hairston (Mildred) of Philadelphia, PA. Two sisters-in-law, Helen Frances Trotter and Ida Rebecca Wade, both of Rocky Mount, VA. One aunt, Selena Carter of Baltimore, Maryland. She also leaves to cherish her sister in Christ Joan Maddox, and her daughter in Christ Dedra Lipscomb. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Priscilla was preceded in death by one sister Odessa Hairston, and one brother Galen Robertson.
