Jennifer Lemon Witcher

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, Jennifer Lemon Witcher departed this life and entered into eternal rest at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount, Virginia. She was born on December 28, 1954 in Franklin County, Virginia to the late Posie Lemon and Arlene Moorman Lemon and was educated in the Franklin County Public School system. 

At an early age she joined and became a devoted member of Franklin Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Penhook, Virginia where she faithfully served on the Missionary Ministry, Finance and Kitchen Committees and was an Usher and sang in the Choir.

Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Ronald “Ronnie” Witcher, and their union was blessed with two beautiful children, Kevin and Arlene “Nikki” Witcher.

For several years, she worked public jobs before becoming a devoted caregiver for her parents, siblings, husband, daughter and other family members. She was known for her caring spirit, kindness and willingness to help others. Jennifer loved quilting and canning and was an excellent cook. She was also a game show and crossed word puzzle whiz. In addition to her parents, Jennifer was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronnie; her daughter, Nikki; two sisters, Alma Wilkins and Susan Morgan; and two brothers, Jeffery and William Lemon.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Kevin; grand-daughter, Daniele; two brothers, Steven and Clarence; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-laws, brother-in-law and friends.
