OBITUARY

Blessed be God,even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,the

Father of mercies,and the God of all comfort.

Who comforted us in all our tribulation,

that we may be able to comfort them

which are in any trouble,by the comfort

where with we ourselves are comforted of God.

James Lee Harris was born February 8,1949 to the late Thomas Junior Harris and Dorothy Gunn Harris Coles.  He departed this life at Roanoke Carillon Hospital on February 19,2024.

 James attended  Pittsylvania County School. James was employed at Lane Company in Rocky Mt. Va. over 20 years. He also worked at Hooker Furniture Company. James then retired.

James had a humorous attitude. James loved to fish until his legs would not allow him to do so.

James was preceded in death by his wife Edith Mae Harris, his parents, two brothers L.C. and William Harris. One sister Angele"Angie" Harris.

Those left to cherish his memory  are two son Otis Brandon, David L Harris. His extended family Stacey(George) English,Writz Va. Jerry Kasey Sr, Vickie Harper, Wendy Kasey,Roanoke Va.  

Four brothers Robert Harris ,Harold Harris, Rocky Mt Va. Thomas Harris(Teresa) Chatham Va. Joe Harris Writz Va. Three sisters Pattie Turner Yanceyville NC. Mary Powell,Roanoke Va. Janiet Long(Sidney) Blanch NC. Host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren other relatives and friends.
