In the early morning of October 12, 2025, God sent one of his angels to guide Clarence Wendell Savage home.
Clarence was one of a kind, kind of guy. He loved to dance, talk junk, take a drink, play spades and corn hole, and cheer on his favorite NFL team Dallas Cowboys.
Clarence was born July 17.1969 to the late Willie Mae Green and Curly Hill in Newport News. He later moved to Roanoke and during his stay there his daughter (Amaya) was born. In 1999, he later moved to Rocky Mount and married his wife of 26 years Kim. From this union three children were born and three stepsons raised.
He was a hard worker and worked at numerous places. His last place of employment was Applebee’s where he swore, he was the best cook. He loved to cook at home as well.
He was predeceased in death by his mother Willie Mae, a brother Bernard, father-in-law Jerry and two stepsons Justin and Theo.
Those left to cherish his memory his wife Kim and children Jeremiah, Ka’Lana and Cortavious of the home. Amaya Dede (Falante) of Roanoke. Stepson Greg O’Neal (Audria) of Rocky Mount. Mother-in-law Annie O’Neal of Penhook. Father Curly Hill of Newport News, Sister Evangelist Daisy Andrews of Roanoke, sister-in-law LaShara O’Neal-Martin (Tyrell) of Rocky Mount. Brother Terrance Savage of North Carolina. Grandchildren Jalyn, Jax, Eden, Titus, Eva, and Josiah. Extended friends who he considered brothers and sons. A special niece and nephew Brooklyn and Gabe that he helped raise by babysitting. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
