Bobby Hughes Witcher

 On Sunday, July 20, 2025, our beloved, Bobby Hughes Witcher, departed this life at Sovah Health Hospital in Martinsville, VA. He was born August 16, 1945 in Penhook, VA to Elijah and Exie Witcher who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his son, Robert; five brothers: Melvin, Alvester, Thelmon, Luther and Willie Witcher; seven sisters: Bessie Cobbs, Mozelle Witcher, Eleanor Muse, Beatrice Witcher, Mattie Lemon, Addie Witcher and Yvonne Dennis.

 Bobby accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Parrish Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.C. Moore. He was educated in the Franklin County Virginia School System. As a young adult, Bobby moved to Columbus, OH to join his brothers, Buddy and Alvester. Bobby married Kim Witcher and to this union, a son, Bobby Witcher, Jr. was born. He was a loving individual who cherished his family and friends dearly. Bobby will be missed by many. His love and kindness toward others will be treasured and remembered forever.

 Those left to cherish his memory is the mother of his children, Kim Witcher, Columbus, OH; his sons, Bobby Witcher, Jr. and Lance Witcher: a daughter, Jennifer Witcher; three grandchildren, Micah Branham-Witcher, Lance Witcher, Jr. and Laila Witcher—all of Columbus, OH; a brother, Buddy Witcher of Jacksonville, NC, three sisters, Ola Holland, Rocky Mount, VA, Juanita James, TrueVine, VA, and Sandra Preston, Boones Mill, VA; a sister-in-law, Diane Witcher, Columbus, OH; a special nephew, Alvin Witcher with whom Bobby resided and received special care during his illness, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
